- Minimum five years of cumulative paid work experience in information technology, of which three years must be in information security and one year in one or more of the six CCSP CBK domains (per (ISC)² requirements) - Candidates who do not yet meet the experience requirement may sit for the exam and become an Associate of (ISC)² until the requirement is fulfilled - Strong foundational understanding of networking, virtualization, and security concepts - Familiarity with cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and deployment models (public, private, hybrid, community) - Recommended: Holding CISSP or equivalent security certification is beneficial but not required
