Privacy Policy for IEC Tech ChatGPT Plugins

When you use Site Check inside ChatGPT, the plugin receives the website address you ask it to check. For the local check it also receives the city you name and, if you give it, the business name. ChatGPT may attach an anonymized user identifier, your language setting and a coarse location to each call. The plugin uses the identifier only to limit how many checks one person can run in ten minutes. It ignores the rest.

The plugin never receives your name, email address, ChatGPT account details, payment details or your conversation history. Please do not type personal information into the website address.

The plugin fetches the public page at the address you gave, plus the robots.txt, sitemap.xml and llms.txt files on that site. It identifies itself to that site with the user agent "IEC Site Check". It measures what is on the page, writes a plain language fix list, and returns the result to ChatGPT. The result is shown to you in your conversation.

The website you ask about sees a normal web request from our server, not from you. It receives our server's network address and the user agent, nothing about you.

Nothing beyond rate limit counters. The plugin has no database and no user accounts. It keeps a count of recent calls per anonymized identifier or network address in memory so one person cannot overload it. Those counters clear within ten minutes and whenever the service restarts. The websites you check and the results are not stored by the plugin.

Our hosting providers keep standard server logs for a short period under their own policies: the plugin runs on Supabase and is reached through Netlify. Those logs can include the time of a request and a network address. They are not used to profile anyone. See our subprocessor list for details on each provider.

OpenAI runs ChatGPT and handles your conversation under its own privacy policy. IEC Tech does not receive your ChatGPT data except the tool inputs described above. The plugin does not sell, share or use any data for advertising.

The plugin is a business tool. It is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

You can stop using the plugin at any time. Because the plugin stores no personal data, there is nothing to export or delete. If you believe we hold information about you, or you have any question about this policy, email support@iectechinc.com and we will answer as quickly as we can.

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. Material changes will be noted on the plugins page.
